The National Henry Rifle Company also has a web site with useful information.Original Civil War model Henry Rifles are very valuable. This will give you all the information you need. Click on that and you will see articles about the Henry Rifle written by Andrew Bresnan. He has written several articles which can be found on the web site called At the top is a link to 'Articles'. One of our guys, Andrew Bresnan, is an expert on Henry Rifles. RU Shooter,I am a member of the National Henry Rifle Company which is a loosely organized group of guys who reenact with reproduction Henry Rifles. RIA is a bit west of Western Pennsylvania, but not that far and with several Henrys, might be happy to have a look. Genuine Henry arms are very desirable to collectors and worth taking trouble over (get the references, get valid appraisals). For markings and serial number ranges, the starting point would be a copy of the late Norm Flayderman's GUIDE, and some of the references in it for additional, more detailed information. Real Henry rifles, in my experience, typically go in the four or five figure range. Unless the guns were in near-relic condition, the gun shop tried to rob your friend. Is anyone here more than casually familiar with them and can tell me if there are any markings letters/ numbers I should be looking for that would help out with dating or anything that would be known about them? The man stated they were all brass frame models as I knew there were some iron frame models made also.Anyone point me towards some sites that may help or know any reputable appraisers in the western PA region that he could take them to?Thanks, Tim. I have yet to see them but am going over to his place later in the week to see first hand what he has and he has 4 of them! Now I tried doing a little Google looking about specific forums or sites about them and nothing really except general info. So far all I know about them is that they are genuine and not messed with but not in the best condition based on what a local gun shop told him along with offering him a lowball 500 a piece for them. He's not a gun guy but he knew that I was but these are not familiar to me and outa my league. I'm trying to help out a co worker with some info about some original Henry rifles he has.
